Let’s celebrate!  It’s the Bicentennial Year of the Old Stone Dock!  200 years of serving Falmouth from 1817 to 2017!  And 365 days since we last got together!

What a banner year!
– The Historical Society presented its 2017 Heritage Award to the Old Stone Dock Association.
– Spritsail Magazine’s Anniversary Issue features the history of the Old Stone Dock.
– The Falmouth Enterprise has reported our many activities and successes.

Now it’s time for our Annual gathering of fellowship and end-of-summer fun! Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Beach Breeze Inn.  Click here if you need another copy of the invitation:   https://oldstonedock.com/wp-content/uploads/OSD-Invite-for-09-10-17.pdf

Yes. That’s a month later than usual. Why? To meet when the frenzy of tourists and house guests has slowed, when the beach parking lot is open, and when we can get as big a tent and as many chairs as we want! After several years of discussion about the challenges of August meetings, the Board voted to try an after Labor Day party. We all know that September is the secret month when “locals” enjoy the neighborhood, so we thought we’d make the most of it!

We have kept the tradition of the $25 per person banquet!
– Host Don Filiault has arranged with Eat Your Heart Out caterers for another fine meal under the Big Top!
– Town officials are looking forward to joining with us once again.
– We have many new members to introduce.
– Scholarship winners will be announced.
– The past and future Old Stone Dock Bicentennial activities will be recounted.

Please respond now or by August 15th by sending your check to PO Box 835, Falmouth 02540. Please use the form on the attached invitation to reply.

ps: Many thanks to all for your generosity and support! I was honored to serve when Bob McCormick was President, and I appreciate all your encouragement for the three years I have headed the Association. Thank you! Hope to see you in September!! kmd
