Shortly after the sun came up on Monday, July 31st the Old Stone Dock Association volunteers set up our 2nd Annual Beach Staff Appreciation Breakfast at the Ellen T. Mitchell Bath House on Surf Drive Beach and then the parking attendants and lifeguards arrived along with their supervisors. They really seemed to appreciate and enjoy the breakfast break in the midst of their summer season and that morning expressed their appreciation many times.

The lifeguards and other beach staff got their chance to say goodbye to Don Hoffer and we welcomed Bruce Mogardo. Town manager, Julian Suso expressed Falmouth’s thanks and said for many tourists they are the welcoming face of the town. Breakfast ended abruptly when supervisors blew the whistle and yelled “grab some fruit and head to your beaches.”

Thanks to OSDA members Anne Prior (event Chairperson), Jack Driscoll, Mike Herlihy, Steve Saunders, Jim Fox and Sally Colacicco who helped and thanks to Lenny of the beach staff who always keeps the flowers in the window boxes looking great.
