The Old Stone Dock Association Annual Beach Cleanup and Membership Promotion was held on Saturday, 06/10/23 at Surf Drive Beach. The OSDA members gathered at 9:30 am for a meet and greet at the Ellen T Mitchell Bathhouse with our Board of Directors, Assistant Beach Superintendent Brooke McMillan and Beach Committee Member Geralyn Schad. The needs of the beach and parking area were discussed. There was minimal trash to be picked up because area students had done that the past week along the beach and roadway so this year the OSDA members concentrated on weeding and sprucing up around the parking lot, the building and the corner of Walker Street and Shore Street. OSDA Board Member Steve Saunders had the flower boxes made up at Soares Nursery and installed them the Wednesday before Memorial Day. We presented a check payable to the Beach Donation Account to cover the cost at our annual beach cleanup.
