The following students will be attending college in September 2025 and each received a $500 check for tuition assistance at the Old Stone Dock Association Annual Meeting at the Flying Bridge on Sunday, 08/10/25.

Faith Barrass, Barrington RI; Attending University of Rhode Island
Granddaughter of OSDA Member Donna Herlihy, Walker Street
Faith Barrass – Faith will attend the University of Rhode Island to pursue a degree in Neuroscience and plans to further her education to become a physician’s assistant. Faith attended Barrington HS in Rhode Island, where she graduated with a 4.07 GPA. Faith’s is here today with her mother Amy Herlihy and her grandmother, Donna Herlihy who lives on Walker Street. Faiths grandfather Mike Herlihy was a board member of the OSDA before his passing last year. Faith ran cross country and track, where she captained both teams. She played 1st chair trumpet in band and was involved in Young Politicians, the national honor society and the national Spanish honor society. Faith volunteered at the library, as a sailing coach and was a softball empire. Over the years Faith and her sibling and cousins have attended many OSD events. Congratulations Faith.
Meredith Cordial, Sterling, MA; Attending Fairfield University, Fairfield CT
Daughter of OSDA Members Keith & Melissa Cordial, Thomas Lane
Meredith Cordial – Meredith will attend Fairfield University in Connecticut to pursue a career in Nursing. Meredith is from Sterling and attended Wachusett Regional HS in Holden and graduated with a 3.9 GPA. Meredith is here with her parents, Keith and Melissa Cordial who have a home on Thomas Lane. Meredith first learned about the OSDA from her great aunt whose father was an early member. Meredith played soccer and was a member of the national honor society. She volunteered with numerous community and school groups, including the Wachusett Supporting Sisters Club, Girls on the Run, Youth Soccer and the public library. Congratulations Meredith.
Emma Hirsch, Somerville, MA; Attending Fairfield University, Fairfield CT
Grand Daughter of OSDA Members Diane & Herb Foster, Surf Drive
Emma Hirsh – Emma will also be attending Fairfield University in Connecticut to focus on business. Emma is from Somerville and graduated from Arlington Catholic in Arlington, Mass with a 3.8 GPA. Emma is here today with her mother Shaylin Hirsh. Her grandparents are Herb (Butch) and Diane Foster who live on Surf Drive. Emma explained that her grandfather has been an amazing role model to her. She played soccer, lacrosse and ran indoor track and was a captain on both the soccer and lacrosse teams. Emma was a member of the National Honor Society and Best Buddies. Her volunteer work includes Fidelity House after School Program, youth soccer and cradles to crayons. Congratulations Emma.
Emeline Porter, East Falmouth, MA; Attending University College, Dublin, Ireland
Grand Daughter of OSDA Members Nancy & Otis Porter, Siders Road
Emeline Porter – Emeline will be attending University College Dublin in Dublin Ireland pursuing studies in International Commerce and she then plans to attend law school. Emeline graduated from Sturgis Charter School in Hyannis with a 3.54 GPA and lives in East Falmouth. Emeline is here today with her parents Robin and Nathan Porter. Her grandparents Nancy and Otis Porter live on Siders Pond Road. Emeline was active in the Model United Nations, French Club and Psychology Club. She played on the volleyball, tennis and sailing teams. Last year Emeline went to France and attended a French Language school and she has also taught herself some Norwegian, German, Russian and Italian. She has worked at the Glass Onion since 2021 and last year volunteered at the OSD beach cleanup with her grandparents. Congratulations Emeline.
